This was a commissioned shoot by students at UCEN Manchester studying makeup artistry. The brief was simply to showcase the makeup work of UCEN MUA student, Lauren Webster.
In terms of studio work, this was my first utilising flash photography with a live model. These photographs have been shared with industry professionals in both the photographic and makeup industry.
Taking test shots for an upcoming narrative photography project, I took better images than I had intended and this set has become a major part of my portfolio.
These images perfectly display parts of the Manchester skyline as well as provide an air of mystery with the inclusion of a protaganist.
The first wedding photography commission I completed was for media tutor Khadija Shahzad and her now husband Anwar Hussain. These were taken in a private function room in MediaCity UK, Salford.
An adjacent video was created simultaneously showcasing the event in it's true romantic fashion.
As part of my previous extensive work at a local TV panel show, Your Manchester, I have taken headshots of some presenters which have all been used and will continue to be used in social media posts going forward.
Showcased here is Oli Mortimer, one of the most recent newcomers to the team in terms of presenting.
These photographs inspired a whole segment of my portfolio regarding the use of models when showcasing fashion photography.
Deansgate in central Manchester is the main location for these photographs as I thought this matched the models style, almost grunge with a hint of class.
Taken with outdated hardware for the time, introducing grain.
